Halimaar-TU
A premium old pedigree! TU is mostly
Heirloom/El Deree with extra inshass through Maleha, who
carries lines to the following Al Khamsa Foundation
horses in the Inshass ancestral element: El Khahila,
El Shanhbaa and El Samraa.
Tail Male...is Saklawi I
through *Ansata Ibn Halima++ and tail female is Bint El
Bahreyn through *Bint Soheir II, making him
Dhaman-Shahwan in strain...BUT not through the more
common tail female El Dahma (although Bint Soheir II's
maternal grandsire, Fagir, is Dahman-Shahwan tail female
to El Dahma, as are *Ansata Ibn Halima++, Sheikh El Arab,
Sid Abouhom, Awad, and *Nagat. None of our living horses
are a single strain or tail female back to the desert.
Besides being tail female to Bint El Bahreyn with additional Dahman-Shahwan blood through El Dahma, TU has a good bit
of Kuhaylan-Rodan, tracing to Rodania through Alaa El Din
and a bit more of Bint El Bahreyn through El Sareei.
Through Roga El Bedia and Ghazieh (almost certainly two
different sub-strains bred very differently) TU is
Saqlawi, and there we could get into the descendants of
Ghazieh through Bint Yemama and those through Helwa. Tail
Female to Roga: Mabrouka, such as Moniet El Nefous
Tail Female to Ghazieh: Anter Tail Female to Yamama
(BLT) through Yashmak and Tail Female to Venus through:
Nazeer
This is just a partial list of te strains
included in TU's pedigree. Even though we trace tail
female through the bottom line, in reality our horses
are all blends of various tail female lines.
TU is
line bred *Ibn Moniet El Nefous, with two of those lines
coming through Naibn Moniet, a sire about whom I have
heard good things. Naibn Moniet's dam is the Straight
Babson Egyptian mare Roufah.
Coletts, Carolyn.
"Asala Arabians Defined, Amidst Thoughts on the
Babson Farm," 1986. "Some think Fadl Starr is the best
Babson horse ever bred. He had a full sister producing
on the Babson Farm and another, ROUFAH, owned by
Bentwood Farms, is a National Top Ten Mare now producing
Champions." "When this mare was a young mare, she was
featured by Bentwood Farm in their movie pulling a cart
with trainer David Gardner driving. She was a
beautiful mare and set the standard for beauty at that
time." - John Fippen, 11/14/1996
*Bint Soheir II was quite prolific, with 12 foals, 9 of
which bred on. She is Heirloom/El Deree and was a
foundation mare for Gleannloch Farms. Her sire and
maternal grandsire are Heirloom, are both lost to the living
herd and her paternal grandsire Alaa El Din was a highly
regarded sire in Egypt. Gubran, *Bint Soheir II's
sire, only sired two foals (both mares) and only *Bint
Soheir II came to the United States. Narges (Gubran x
Anzar by El Sareei) went to the Netherlands and Germany.
Six of her eight foals reproduced and one daughter,
*Shams El Saayda came to the United States.
El
Halimaar is an excellent sire and his dam RDM Maar Hala is
the reigning dam of Champions among Straight Egyptians.
One of TU's Heirloom ancestors, Kasr El Nil, a black bay
was "former head sire of the Czech state stud,
Topolcianky before his export to Germany...I believe
Kasr El Nil has been one of the most significant stallions
of the last decade in Europe, especially for his strong
contribution to the Egyptian breeding. Kasr El Nil
died last year." Peter Van Ingen, "Arabah
Abbah," Arabian Visions, 12:5 (January - February,
1996): 31 - 34.
Bint Fa Dena, (also Heirloom
and Babson/Halima) was a prolific dam of 8 foals.
There is a lot of consistency in TU's pedigree: Two
crosses to AK Khalis (bringing in two lines to *Bint Soheir
II), and the AK Khalis granddaughter LN Khalis Hassana
is both TU's dam and his maternal grand dam. His
paternal grandsire carries over *Ansata Ibn Halima++ and
brings in the outstanding indiviudals RDM Maar Hala,
Kasr El Nil and additional Babson blood through RDM Maar
Hala.
